Open Access Policy

The Journal of Language and Education (JLE) is committed to the dissemination of high-quality research to a global audience. To achieve this, JLE adopts an open access policy, ensuring that all published articles are freely accessible to readers worldwide without any subscription or paywall barriers.

Open Access Policy

1. Accessibility

All articles published in JLE are made available online immediately upon publication, free of charge. This ensures that researchers, educators, policymakers, and the general public can access and benefit from the latest research findings without any financial or legal restrictions.

2. Licensing

JLE uses the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license for all published articles. This license permits anyone to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, provided that the original work is properly cited. This fosters the widest possible dissemination and reuse of research.

3. Author Rights

Authors retain the copyright of their work and grant JLE the right to publish the article under the terms of the CC BY license. This allows authors to distribute and share their work freely, enhancing the visibility and impact of their research.

4. Archiving

JLE ensures the long-term preservation of its content by archiving all published articles in trusted digital repositories. This guarantees that the research remains accessible and usable for future generations.

5. No Embargo Period

JLE does not impose any embargo period on its content. All articles are made openly accessible immediately upon publication, supporting the rapid dissemination of knowledge and advancements in the field of language and education.

6. Publication Fees

To support the costs associated with open access publishing, including peer review, editing, and digital archiving, JLE may charge an article processing fee (APC). The APC ensures that the journal can maintain its open access policy while upholding high editorial standards. Fee waivers or discounts may be available for authors from low-income countries or those with financial constraints.
