The Journal of Language and Education (JLE) is committed to the principles of open access and aims to provide its authors with the rights to distribute and share their work freely. 1. Copyright Ownership
Authors retain the copyright of their work. Upon acceptance of an article, authors grant the Journal of Language and Education (JLE) a non-exclusive license to publish the article and identify itself as the original publisher.
2. Licensing Terms
All articles published in JLE are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license. This allows anyone to:
- Share: Copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.
- Adapt: Remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially.
Under the following terms:
- Attribution: Appropriate credit must be given, a link to the license provided, and any changes made must be indicated. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use.
3. Author Rights
Authors have the following rights:
- The right to use the substance of the article in their own future works, including lectures and books.
- The right to reproduce the article for their own purposes, provided that the original publication in JLE is acknowledged.
- The right to self-archive the article (e.g., in institutional repositories or personal websites) immediately upon publication.
4. Third-Party Rights
If an article includes material for which the authors do not hold copyright, it is the authors’ responsibility to obtain the necessary permissions from the copyright holder(s) to reproduce any such material in both print and electronic formats.
5. Acknowledgment of Original Publication
When reusing or distributing articles published in JLE, proper acknowledgment of the original publication must be included. The citation should follow the format specified by the journal and include the article title, journal name, volume, issue, page numbers, and DOI.
6. Modifications to the Article
Any modifications, adaptations, or derivatives of the published work must be clearly indicated as such. The original authors should be credited, and the original publication should be cited.
