Author Guidelines
The Journal of Language and Education (JLE) welcomes high-quality submissions that contribute to the field of language, education, and cultural studies. To ensure a smooth submission and review process, authors are encouraged to follow these guidelines carefully.
1. Submission Types
JLE accepts the following types of submissions:
- Research Articles: Comprehensive studies presenting original research findings.
- Review Articles: Critical evaluations of existing research on a particular topic.
- Case Studies: Detailed analyses of specific cases relevant to language and education.
- Book Reviews: Reviews of recently published books in the field of language and education.
2. Manuscript Preparation
a. General Format
- Manuscripts should be written in English.
- Use Times New Roman, 12-point font, double-spaced throughout.
- Include page numbers in the upper right corner.
- Submit manuscripts in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.
b. Structure
- Title Page: Include the title of the manuscript, authors' names, affiliations, and contact information for the corresponding author.
- Abstract: Provide a concise summary of the research (150-250 words).
- Keywords: Include 4-6 keywords that represent the main topics of the manuscript.
- Main Text: Organize the manuscript into sections, such as Introduction, Literature Review, Methodology, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, and References.
- References: Follow APA (7th edition) style for all citations and references.
c. Length
- Research Articles: Up to 8,000 words, including references and appendices.
- Review Articles: Up to 6,000 words.
- Case Studies: Up to 5,000 words.
- Book Reviews: Up to 1,500 words.
3. Figures and Tables
- Include figures and tables within the main text where they are first cited.
- Each figure and table should have a clear, descriptive title.
- Ensure that all figures and tables are of high quality and legible.
4. Ethical Considerations
- Ensure that the research adheres to ethical guidelines and obtain necessary approvals (e.g., IRB).
- Disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
- Confirm that the manuscript is original and has not been published elsewhere.
5. Submission Process
