Author Guidelines

The Journal of Language and Education (JLE) welcomes high-quality submissions that contribute to the field of language, education, and cultural studies. To ensure a smooth submission and review process, authors are encouraged to follow these guidelines carefully.

1. Submission Types

JLE accepts the following types of submissions:

  • Research Articles: Comprehensive studies presenting original research findings.
  • Review Articles: Critical evaluations of existing research on a particular topic.
  • Case Studies: Detailed analyses of specific cases relevant to language and education.
  • Book Reviews: Reviews of recently published books in the field of language and education.

2. Manuscript Preparation

a. General Format

  • Manuscripts should be written in English.
  • Use Times New Roman, 12-point font, double-spaced throughout.
  • Include page numbers in the upper right corner.
  • Submit manuscripts in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.

b. Structure

  • Title Page: Include the title of the manuscript, authors' names, affiliations, and contact information for the corresponding author.
  • Abstract: Provide a concise summary of the research (150-250 words).
  • Keywords: Include 4-6 keywords that represent the main topics of the manuscript.
  • Main Text: Organize the manuscript into sections, such as Introduction, Literature Review, Methodology, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, and References.
  • References: Follow APA (7th edition) style for all citations and references.

c. Length

  • Research Articles: Up to 8,000 words, including references and appendices.
  • Review Articles: Up to 6,000 words.
  • Case Studies: Up to 5,000 words.
  • Book Reviews: Up to 1,500 words.

3. Figures and Tables

  • Include figures and tables within the main text where they are first cited.
  • Each figure and table should have a clear, descriptive title.
  • Ensure that all figures and tables are of high quality and legible.

4. Ethical Considerations

  • Ensure that the research adheres to ethical guidelines and obtain necessary approvals (e.g., IRB).
  • Disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
  • Confirm that the manuscript is original and has not been published elsewhere.

5. Submission Process

  • Submit manuscripts electronically through the JLE submission system [insert submission link].

6. Review Process
